Biography
Philip Parlock II has been writing A cappella music since 2003 and has been singing since 1995. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Marshall University in 2007 as a Voice Major. Philip has been a choir director since that time and has continued to write, arrange, and record both choral and contemporary A cappella music.
Among the more accomplished of his works are his spirituals: Poor Wayfaring Stranger, This Little Light of Mine, and Final Days which is an original composition.
Poor Wayfaring Stranger was performed by an All-County Choir in 2016.
This Little Light of Mine was arranged for and performed by a District Chorus in 2020.
Final Days won the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association member level Composition award in 2019.
Philip's biggest endeavor is the completion of Epic Fail, an A Cappella musical. Some songs from Epic Fail as well as his song about the year 2020 can be heard here and on most music streaming services including Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartRadio, and many others
